I just got off the phone with my best friend. She’s having a meltdown because of paint. I’m sure its not because of paint, but she’s painting her house and well, its the easiest thing to blame. She said she was going to stop by here and have a glass of wine with me, was that okay?

Okay? That’s why we moved here in the first place. As hard as its been to leave the place where I thought I’d put down roots, I’m thankful to be here, so close to my best friend in the entire world. I’m thankful that my husband knew how important this was, and who has such a free, adventurous spirit, that he was willing to give up the only place he knew to come here and start a new life with me. I’m thankful that Luna di Luna makes really good, cheap wine. I’m thankful that I am going to a new reproductive endocrinologist who said “you want to be more aggressive, let’s be more aggessive.” I’m thankful that my friend from up north, who is pregnant, has morning sickness so she’ll be aware every moment of the miracle that is growing inside of her. I’m thankful that Partner number 1 has become one of my closest friends and confidantes. I’m thankful that despite all of the hardships, trials and tribulations in my life, I know real, true love.
